My service to our community included a career as a Firefighter for the city of Santa Rosa, California (Cal Pers, IAFF) where I served for over 17 years and this has taught me how important it is to help others, how to get the job done, and the skills of being resourceful and efficient. While serving as a Firefighter, I continued on my educational path, achieving an AS degree from SRJC with Honors and a BA in Business from SSU.
